Bella - April 2009
This interesting case is about Bella a filly born in April 2009 . She was five weeks old at the time of her injury, playing with another filly (possibly running). She hit a mesh fence at a seam. The fence opened up at the bottom lettering her through into the neighbor's pasture. She then proceeded to run the fence line and ran into a loose barbwire fence. The owner found her standing in the fenceline with her hindlegs tangled in the wire. They had to cut their fence to get to her, cut her out of the barbwire, go get mom with the trailer and then haul her to the hospital. Here is the progression of healing that occured over the next ten months. In that time she has become a well known filly at the hospital and continues to be a champ in her recovery process:
