Shauna Knapp, lVT

hospital administrator & equine anesthetist

Shauna is a highly experienced equine anesthetist and the Practice Manager at Waller Equine Hospital. A 2001 graduate of the Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology, she began her career at Littleton Equine Medical Center in Colorado, where she gained valuable hands-on experience in equine medicine.

Originally from Oregon, Shauna later moved to Texas to join the intensive care unit at Texas A&M University, further honing her expertise in critical care and anesthesia. She has been a vital part of Waller Equine Hospital since its opening, playing a key role in both clinical operations and leadership.

With decades of experience and a passion for equine health, Shauna ensures the highest standards of care and professionalism throughout the practice.

Angilene Gonzales, LVT

Inventory manager, equine anesthetist & critical care technician

Angilene brings a wealth of experience and versatility to the Waller Equine Hospital team. Since joining us in August 2004, she has taken on multiple key roles, including Inventory Manager, Equine Anesthetist, Critical Care Technician, and Reference Laboratory Technician.

She is one of only four equine anesthetists in our hospital and plays a vital role in overseeing the care of hospitalized horses. 

A native of Magnolia, TX, Angilene received her veterinary training from the Tomball College Veterinary Technology Program in Tomball, TX. She completed her internship at Waller Equine Hospital and gained additional experience at Tomball Veterinary Clinic before returning to join our staff.

Angilene’s dedication, leadership, and clinical expertise make her an invaluable member of our team.

Mara Seigler, LVT

Doctor technician & equine anesthetist

Mara is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and one of the four equine anesthetists at Waller Equine Hospital. With a strong academic foundation and a passion for equine care, she plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients during surgical procedures.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with an Equine Minor from Texas A&M University–Commerce in 2017. Mara then completed the Veterinary Technology Program at Lone Star College in Tomball, TX, earning her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology in 2019.

After completing an internship at Waller Equine Hospital, she officially joined the team in July 2019 and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in February 2020. Originally from Tomball, TX, Mara is dedicated to delivering exceptional care and takes pride in working closely with the horses in our hospital.

Cait Parry Neighbors, LVT

Lead reference laboratory technician & critical care technician

Cait is the Lead Reference Laboratory Technician and a skilled Critical Care Technician at Waller Equine Hospital. She brings years of hands-on experience and a strong commitment to patient care, particularly in critical and laboratory settings.

Originally from northern Michigan, Cait pursued her veterinary education at the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in Colorado. After graduating, she gained valuable experience working at Littleton Large Animal Hospital before joining the Waller Equine team in September 2013.

Cait is known for her attention to detail, strong work ethic, and dedication to providing high-quality care to our equine patients. Outside of work, she, her son Andrew, and husband Nate share a love for animals and enjoy the company of many four-legged friends at home.

Victoria Waltz, LVT

emergency technician & equine anesthetist

Tori is a dedicated and skilled Licensed Emergency Technician and Equine Anesthetist who has been an integral part of our team since November 2019. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Applied Animal Science from PIMA Medical Institute, where she graduated in 2019.

Following her graduation, Tori completed an internship at Waller Equine Hospital, where her passion and talent quickly earned her a permanent position on our staff. Prior to entering the veterinary field, Tori was a coach and trainer at a riding school, bringing valuable hands-on equine experience that enhances her work in clinical settings.

Tori currently lives in Cypress with her three sons and their beloved dog. Her calm presence, deep knowledge, and strong commitment to animal care make her a valued member of our team and a trusted caregiver to our patients.

Lisa Stevens, lVT

Licensed doctor technician

Lisa is a Licensed Veterinary Technician at Waller Equine Hospital with a lifelong love for animals and a deep passion for veterinary care. Inspired by her daughter’s involvement in FFA and raising livestock, Lisa made the decision to follow her heart and pursue a second career in veterinary medicine.

She began her journey with Waller Equine Hospital as an intern and officially joined the team in 2021. Lisa earned her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Lone Star College–Tomball in May 2022 and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in September 2022.

Known for her compassionate nature and strong work ethic, Lisa takes great pride in caring for the horses at our hospital. She currently lives in Katy, TX with her husband, son, daughter, two dogs, and three cats.

Morgan Fullerton

Lead client care specialist

Morgan is the friendly face and warm welcome that greets clients at Waller Equine Hospital. As our Lead Client Care Specialist, she’s known for her exceptional ability to connect with both clients and patients—often greeting them by name as they walk through the door.

Morgan has been part of the Waller Equine team since 2016, originally starting as a Doctor’s Assistant. Her experience in that role gave her a strong foundation in all aspects of hospital operations, from patient care to clinical support. That well-rounded knowledge allows her to provide a seamless and informed experience for both clients and staff.

Growing up with horses, Morgan began riding for various ranches at age 16 and worked closely with children in riding programs. Her passion for horses and people shines through in everything she does. 

Morgan’s dedication, approachable nature, and strong relationships with clients make her an invaluable part of our team.

Daniela Restrepo

Daniela was a dedicated veterinarian in Colombia who relocated to the United States with her family to pursue her dream of becoming a licensed veterinarian here. She is currently working toward her veterinary licensing in the U.S., gaining valuable experience through her externship and clinical training.

At Waller Equine Hospital, Daniela has been a full-time veterinary technician known for her compassionate care and commitment to every patient. She is also training as an equine anesthetist, further expanding her skills in this critical area.

To focus on earning the necessary hours and completing her veterinary path, she has transitioned to part-time hours with us. Her unwavering dedication to both the horses and her professional growth makes her an inspiring and valued member of our team.

Nicole Obmaces

Nikki has been a vital part of the Waller Equine Hospital team since 2019. A graduate of the Vet Tech Institute of Houston, she serves as an Emergency and Critical Care Technician and is currently expanding her skill set through advanced training in equine anesthesia.

Known for her exceptional efficiency and attention to detail, Nikki is often described by her peers highly productive and reliable. Her strong work ethic, calm presence in high-pressure situations, and commitment to doing things right make her an invaluable asset to both our patients and our team.

Nikki’s passion for horses started early—she grew up riding at Whippletree Farm, where her love for equine care truly began. She brings that same lifelong dedication and heart to her work every day, treating each patient as if they were her own.

With her deep compassion, drive, and natural ability with animals, Nikki plays a key role in providing the highest level of care at Waller Equine Hospital.

Martin Robles

Martin Robles has been a cornerstone of Waller Equine Hospital since its very beginning in 2001. He plays a vital role in keeping the hospital and grounds in excellent condition, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both patients and staff.

In addition to his essential maintenance duties, Martin steps in as a critical care assistant whenever needed, providing hands-on support and compassionate care to our equine patients.

Martin’s personal journey reflects his dedication and resilience—he came to the U.S. working toward his green card and proudly became a U.S. citizen in 2009. His loyalty, hard work, and steady presence have made him an invaluable member of our team for nearly two decades.

Kiersten Reynolds, CVA

Kiersten hails from Lubbock, Texas, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. Since 2016, she has been dedicated to the veterinary field, becoming both a Certified Veterinary Assistant and a Certified Equine Veterinary Assistant in 2019. She also earned her Fear Free Certification in 2022, reflecting her commitment to providing compassionate, low-stress care for animals.

An accomplished equestrian, Kiersten has competed in Hunter/Jumper events since she was 11 years old and proudly placed in the top 10 at the 2020 AQHA World Show. Outside of work, she is an avid animal lover who rescued her dog Seth, a Coonhound/Pointer mix, and has spent the past 15 years with her beloved 18-year-old Appendix gelding, Lefty.

Clients consistently describe Kiersten as one of the kindest people they’ve met. She is known for her exceptional ability to thoroughly address discharge instructions, patiently answering all client questions without ever rushing, ensuring each owner feels confident and cared for.

Kiersten’s passion for animals, expertise, and genuine kindness make her a valued and trusted member of our team.

Rosa Villatoro

Rosa is a first-generation college graduate whose love for horses was sparked during her time in school and has only grown stronger since. She joined Waller Equine Hospital in June 2024 as a swing shift emergency and critical care assistant, quickly earning a reputation for her amazing bedside manner, big heart, and genuine compassion for both patients and their owners.

Known for her kindness and willingness to do whatever is needed, Rosa is always ready to support the hospital and provide attentive care during critical moments. She takes pride in being a positive role model for her younger brother and embraces new opportunities and experiences to better herself and her family.
