Christopher Paul Boutros

DVM, DVSc

Diplomate American College of Veterinary Surgeons

Upon graduating from Veterinary School at Texas A & M University, Dr. Boutros completed an internship in large animal medicine and surgery and a 3-year equine surgical residency at the Ontario Veterinary College. Dr. Boutros is board-certified as a specialist in equine surgery by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Prior to opening the Waller Equine Hospital, Dr. Boutros worked at Murdoch University in Australia and at Texas A & M as the large animal surgery lecturer and emergency surgeon. Dr. Boutros is originally from Houston. Outside of work, Dr. Boutros enjoys spending time with family and traveling.

Jennifer Whyard

BVetMed, MRCVS

Diplomate American College of Veterinary Surgeons - Large Animal

Dr. Whyard’s roots stem from Long Island, New York. Across the pond she attained her Veterinary Degree at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London. After vet school, Dr. Whyard completed a two-year hospital internship in the heart of British horseracing country at Newmarket Equine Hospital in the United Kingdom. She then finished a second internship in equine surgery at North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her residency training in Large Animal Surgery at the University of Wisconsin, School of Veterinary Medicine in July 2018, and is a board certified large animal surgeon by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Dr. Whyard is keen on all aspects of large animal surgery, and has particular interests in orthopedics, sports medicine, and diagnostic imaging, with specialist training in podiatry and is an FEI permitted treating veterinarian. Outside of work, Dr. Whyard enjoys cycling, gardening, hiking with her dog and water sports.

Erica Beadle

DVM

Erica Beadle grew up in Dallas and attended Texas A&M University for undergraduate studies and veterinary school. She started riding at the age of 8 and competed in eventing. She also worked for a riding instructor in Dallas during Junior High and High School. She currently has a Welsh cob/cross gelding, Patrick, who is her retired competition horse. Dr. Beadle began her career at Waller Equine after graduating from veterinary school in 2016.  Her interests include internal medicine and preventative care. She recently started to practice acupuncture, offering alternative medicine in addition to traditional treatments. 

Emily Ligon

DVM

Dr. Emily Ligon grew up in San Diego, California. She moved to Houston, Texas in 2006 and attended Texas A&M University for her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Post graduation, Dr. Ligon pursued an equine internship at Weems and Stephens Equine Hospital in Aubrey, TX. Her clinical interests include all aspects of reproduction and lameness. After work she enjoys playing with her two Old English Bull Dogs, spending time with her husband and pursuing outdoor activities.

Jessica Bush

DVM

Dr. Bush grew up in the Houston area working as a veterinary assistant at Waller Equine Hospital and competing in the local barrel racing circuit. She attended Tarleton State University for her undergraduate studies and Texas Woman's University for her MBA. After earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University, she completed an internship at Oakridge Equine Hospital in Edmond, Oklahoma. She worked as an associate veterinarian at Equine Athlete Veterinary Services in Pilot Point, Texas for 6 years where she gained extensive experience treating high level show horses. She returned to Waller Equine Hospital in 2021. Her passions include lameness, wound management, and regenerative therapies.
